That is what you have an extra bar and chain for.

Either way will work if you get a bar stuck. The 2nd saw is faster is all. When doing any serious cutting I take at least 3 saws. No, not a third to get the second one unstuck, it is just that I like to have my full range of 30cc, 50cc, 70cc.

I'm looking forward to the day I can buy one of those for my nephew and daughter. Both still a little too young, but soon! It is rated for ages 3 and up right?

I have no idea, he turned 2 in August and it seems fine.

High octane fuel should only be used for engines specifically designed for it. High octane has less power and more additives in it to prevent detonation in high compression engines.

When you sharpen your chain, flip the bar. It helps it wear evenly and increases its life.

I'm not reading 18 pages either, but if I were the OP I'd buy a Stihl MS250. They've been on sale here lately for around $400, which isn't bad for what you get. I've not been impressed by the smaller Husky offerings.

20-30 hours of use is a lot by most non-pro standards, we have 10 acres and I'd be surprised if we run a saw any more than 5-8 hours a year, if that.

It's not for everyone but I just got an Oregon 40V cordless for my wife for Christmas. She has trouble starting anything with a small engine. I have been outside using it to clean up some limbs in the yard and it works great. I should have got the larger battery but I plan on getting one to have a spare anyway.
