I am a subject matter expert in a number of areas due to training and experience. As a Senior NCO in the Army, I learned long ago the best course of action is to consult those that know more than you in an area where you are not a SME

That's a nifty tool. I've seen the pointy end bars for tightening the ratchet straps but never the lever binder end. Did you purchase it or make it yourself? Does it have an official name? (for searching on the web)

Saw someone comment about not using the drawbar clevis as an attachment point for the rear. That is really the only option I have as there is not enough space for axle straps.

Yep, that's common on some CUTS and most SCUTS.

Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Its like herding cats. Here in VT we have a lot of cadets and new 2LTs due to Norwich University, there are more 2LTs than there are billets. At one point I had a PL and THREE Assistant PLs.

Thank you Ovrsdz (message 26) for clarifying the correct way to tie down. I as well as apparently most of the rest of us, all seem to have what we THINK is a good system. It is good to know exactly what meets requirements.
