Recently my internet has been getting slower than tower congestion and sometimes stops working with a message about the DNS Server. I just turn off the power switch that it's AC power supply is plugged into, wait a few seconds and turn it on. Works fine for a day or two.

Maybe some of you can help me decide what connections I need. I want to move my mobley and gl-ar300 router out of the hot window but I need to keep the antennas where they are. I wrote down the mobley antenna connection somwhere but not sure what to use as an external antenna. I guess for the router I just need to know what the antenna connection is called so I can search for an extension cord.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

The mobley is the critical piece. You can move the router with a longer usb cable, it doesnt need to be in front of window. I tried a remote antenna on the mobley without success.

Actually I need to keep my router antennas in the same location. I have wifi cameras outside that I want to maintain a connection to.

Both the mobley and the router get very hot where I have them located for the best signals.

My connection keeps failing and I want to rule out the units getting too hot as a cause.

That heat is going to kill that unit eventually. You just can't put electronic devices in sunny windows and expect them to live. Have you thought about getting some heat blocking film for the window?

Have you tried positioning the Mobley for fastest signal, not strongest signal? Go back and read my experience using fast.com: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums...onth-stand-alone-post4756325.html#post4756325

I may have already kilt it. I can only get it to stay connected for a short time before it drops out again. Should have bought a spare.

I wonder if anyone has had any luck putting the sim in another device.
