Cheap pier for my small pond

Eddie responded to quick to Nat's question. I was going to say the silver thing in pic20 was a UFO.

Good explanation on the color of the water but as far as the muddy water goes, I don't think I'd want to swim in it.

A by all means get your outside wiring protected with a GFCI circuit or at least get a portable one. You could make your own GFCI extention cord too. Never use an electric tool in wet conditions without one especially when your knee deep in water. Hasn't Steph taught you anything yet. Or perhaps she handed you the drill. Hmmm makes one think.

Eddie,

In holland we used to have stuff called carbolineum. I think its banned now, because of environmental reasons. There is a replacement for it.
What also works is coal tar, also prohibited, and there is also a replacement for it. For both, the replacements arent half as good. the old mean stuff is just better.

Problem with poles is mostly at the water line. dry poles dont rot that easily, and poles under water will last forever. At the water line, its not under water and it doesnt stay dry...
