Never say never. So far though, I haven't understood the attraction.

I went on an Alaska cruise years ago and had a great time. Cruises make it easy to travel. You stay in the same "room" and your room move from place to place. They handle everything, all the side tours etc. You can eat 20 times day if you want.

Don't know if I would go on one today.

That's the ONLY one I've ever been on. It was OK, but nothing special. Wasn't my idea, I was just along for the ride, so to speak.

But this is a bit extreme, no? Woman pays $164K per year to live on luxury cruise ship

For her sake I hope that it isn't "The Love Boat." It would be pretty sad to be looking all of that time and not find anything.

If you look at the news headlines this is not even a front page story anymore...except for one small item about the Americans on the cruise ship...the ONLY major news site that had anything to do with the virus in china on their front pages was the BBC and it about a new study released by china...

The Henny Penny/Chicken Little syndrome is falling off just like the virus story...

If the virus mutates it may start generating more news...time will tell...

Been in and out of China a few times this month. Not sick. It would be hard to get sick there since everyone is masked up. Same for Korea and Japan when I was there. I chose to go without, and tolerated having my temperature taken everywhere I went. It really seems a bit hysterical but there must be something to it. I think if you're not old, a young child and don't lick doorknobs and wash your hands you'll be ok. Time will tell.
