Seems like you're doing pretty good at finding old iron. There was an auction in Georgia yesterday with lots of old iron. A 9n LP, a couple of 8N's, two 801's, and a bunch of 3000's, and a few 2000,4000,5000's as well as several other brands.

I got a 4000 4cyl a while back at a local auction.

There's probably more interchange on vintage iron than people realize. I have a buddy that works for Cat. He tells me there are parts on the graders that interchange goes back 50 years.

easy to believe. I picked up something for my 5000 a while back and remarked that I was surprised it was in stock.. counter guy remarked that it was used from 65 thru 2002 on some model or another.. hard to find that kind of interchange nowadays..

heck.. i can get MS carb parts for ford tractors, via part number.. from the JD dealer..

Speaking of parts. anyone know where you can get engine parts including block and head castings for the non epa 2 cyl jinmas.. like the 18 hp jobs in the economy units like I looked at back when the homier tool shows sold them back in the late 90's when i was originally looking at them?

Does anyone make an interchange manual for tractors? I used to sell automotive literature....shop manuals, parts books, etc at swap meets. Hollander Interchange manuals were always a great seller.
