Chloe\'s final update.....

I am saddened to report that Chloe died today in my arms just as we arrived at the veterinarians office. She was doing fine till Friday when she took a turn for the worse. Didn't seem any worse than any of her other set backs that she bounced back from in a day or two, but today was different. On the way home, we saw a rainbow over our store, so I believe that Chloe was announcing her arrival at the Rainbow Bridge. It is a sad day for all of us, but she is in a better place now and won't suffer any more discomfort. She is interred here at our home, alongside of Kelsey, my beloved German Shorthair Pointer, who passed away almost 2 years ago.

Sorry to hear this Junkman. She was soooo cute.

We are SO sorry, Junkman! Knowing there was nothing you could do but make her time here on earth happy doesn't lessen your pain now, but it will eventually. Holding a pup is like holding pure innocence, and it sure hurts saying goodbye!

I'm sorry for your loss. When I saw this thread I said, "Oh no." At least you were able to make her time on earth (albeit too short) a pleasant one.

With all the kidding around and bantering at times, that all aside, I have to tell you when anyone goes to Junkmans pet shop, the people and their pets are treated better than most new born babies.. Junkman and his wife go way beyond the expected service, unexpected service, and another 100 miles past this.. I've been and continue to go to Junkmans house frequently and Yes, Chloe was hand treated almost hourly, the same as they treat their customers and their pets.. Fact is, I played with Chloe myself a few times.. Chloe, you''ll be sorely missed as you were fun to be around.. She did have a great life even though it was very short...

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences on your loss Junkman.
Barney, our 17 yo German Shorthair passed on 10 years ago this year. We still think about him, hardly a day goes by that we don't talk about him and we still miss him. Fortunately, the weighty sadness is gradually replaced by warm feel-good memories.
