Chloe\'s final update.....

I am saddened to report that Chloe died today in my arms just as we arrived at the veterinarians office. She was doing fine till Friday when she took a turn for the worse. Didn't seem any worse than any of her other set backs that she bounced back from in a day or two, but today was different. On the way home, we saw a rainbow over our store, so I believe that Chloe was announcing her arrival at the Rainbow Bridge. It is a sad day for all of us, but she is in a better place now and won't suffer any more discomfort. She is interred here at our home, alongside of Kelsey, my beloved German Shorthair Pointer, who passed away almost 2 years ago.

Sorry to hear this Junkman. She was soooo cute.
Chloe knew she was loved by you and your wife dearly, and I believe that is why she fought so hard to give you all the time she did. Remember that every time you see a rainbow, she will be shining on you . Peace. Gerard /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It is amazing how the you get attached to a dog and how you can remember each one of them. Our thoughts are with you.

We are SO sorry, Junkman! Knowing there was nothing you could do but make her time here on earth happy doesn't lessen your pain now, but it will eventually. Holding a pup is like holding pure innocence, and it sure hurts saying goodbye!

I'm sorry for your loss. When I saw this thread I said, "Oh no." At least you were able to make her time on earth (albeit too short) a pleasant one.
