My CK30 came from the dealer with the block heater installed. He put them in every tractor he sold off the lot which I think is a nice touch for the new owner not having to worry about it. Of course he is located in northern NY so it's a necessary addition IMO. A few hours on the heater before use makes for smooth starting and a happy tractor.....
I fail to see how a properly installed block heater would void a warranty. If it loses coolant through a leak and the engine overheats, that is a negligent user failing to perform routine daily checks of fluid levels IMO. The installer of said heater may be the ultimate cause of the leak (be it user or dealer/service provider) but that falls back to the user/owner to remedy the situation prior to critical mass.
