ck20 brushmowing?

We call them brush hogs here in the NW. My wife gives me strange looks when I drop the r and I find it harder to say.

I can't wait to do some brush hogging with my 60" Rankin mower in a couple of weekends. Just don't drop these mowers on your fingers, they are very heavy.

So it is okay to say brush hog. Thank you.

Last night I brush hogged with the CK 20 HST with a five foot very old brush hog and it did a great job.

I like to mow this pond bank which is really steep. I used to use my Dad's JD 990, which is a 40 hp gear and back up the bank with the mower all the way up and then drop it to mow as I did a controlled slide down the bank.

Yesterday, it was damp and had rained recently but I figured here is a test so using the same brush hog on the CK20, I locked the rear tires and proceeded to back up the pond bank and then mow on the way down. Worked just as well as the other bigger tractor and the CK20 has the industrial tires instead of the ag tires. Maybe I will bring my camera out and take a picture of the slope. Some might think me a wee bit crazzzy for mowing it but if I don't the seeds blow into my fruit rows and adds to my weeding work. A mowed meadow is really crucial to weed control.

I take it you were mowing from the bottom of the pond. Backing up the slope and then mowing your way back to the pond bottom? If the pond has water then the controlled slide down into it sounds spooky.

We all would love to see the pictures.
