I am a firm beleiver that the Presby Enviro's are the best system out there for cost and size.
I'd have to take exception to that :
The best system they ever came up with is the one I installed back in 71 .
The great thing about it is there is no leach field sand mound or drain bed to clog up or fowel up.

The failure as it was explained

What's crappy about it is it's designed to fail just like all the other worthless highly expensive obstructions we've been forced to add to a septic tank over the years.

Being a crap field novice, what exactly is the best design? I've got a septic system and would like to know, if and when the day ever comes, what the best system is. My mom and dad live in the same house I was brought up in, been there 45 years, still original system.

Thanks,
Joel

One that don't obstruct the drain pipe going out of the tank.
Mounds and leach fields and leach beds are all blockers.

Picture this which is the best exhaust system on a vehicle one that has a cap welded to the end of the tail pipe or one that doesn't?
Which one is going to be trouble free and which one is going to be a problem?

Update:

I got most of the pipes in place and started to cover them with the sand.

I still have to add 5' to each pipe run and the vent.

Looking at the pics, it amazes me that the setup works. I say this because the tubes are so close together and there doesn't seem to be enough field.

I wish my county would allow such a setup. We're in the stone ages when it comes to septic systems. It's either with stone or a sand mound. They did approve some system that allows for nitrogen removal, but the catch is it gets written into your deed. They will require 2 or 3 inspections a year and from my understanding it will cost the homeowner around $500/year for the inspections. Plus, it needs power to run pumps and such. What a rip off!

Update:

Started covering with sand, and added the rest of the pipes.

I still have to finish the vent.

Really not a hard project.. (Just Crappy)

This took about 12 hours time on the CK20, she ran like a champ.

I'm glad I don't have all this stuff obstructing drainage of my tank.
This is so expensive just to keep the Gov. agencies busy.
