IMPORTANT: Apparently you can *only* put extra lights on the B-series tractors if you get the HD alternator 'cause the stock alternator (which actually isn't an alternator at all) doesn't push enough current to power anything beyond what is already on the stock tractor.

You can, you just 1 though. The little dyno only puts out 15 amps which will run 1 work light with leftover for the charging system.

Great post. I have similar property and tractor needs. Here's where I am at. Looked at the Kubota L3400 HST 4WD FEL, 6' finish mower and boax blade $ 17,200. Drove the B7800 HST 4WD with same attachments and fell in love with it as compared to the L3400. $16,675. Looking hard at the JD 3320 HST 4WD with same attachments $21,190 hard to wrap my mind ( or my pocketbook) around the $4000.00 difference, although I thought it was a fair price as $26 would be MSRP. The JD is also only 6 miles from my home. I have to say that Mahindra is on big bad machine but the 3015 HST w/ same attachments I had quoted at $17,850 for that money I would go with the Kubota B7800. By the way I drove the B3030 and actually preferred the B7800. Now if you think I know anything about tractors you would be wrong. I have been visiting this site for weeks and finally joined recently. The people on this site are great, humorous and above all knowledeable. Thanks to everyone for making this decision alot easier, although I have not made my final, final yet I have it narrowed down to Kubota B7800,JD 3320 outside chance of the Mahindra 3015 if it were around $15,500. Thanks again for your great analysis, it was very helpful. Enjoy your machine. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Although I bought the B3030, I like the B7800 also. HOWEVER, if you do end up picking the B7800, I would STRONGLY recommend that you look into getting the telescoping 3ph links installed on it. My neighbor has a B7800 and it takes him 20 minutes to hook up his bush-hog versus 10 for me and my B3030, and he's done it many more times than I have.

I also love my 3ph true position control for the B7800's up/down only.

And one last note...I really wanted the JD 3320, but with the money I saved buying the Kubota instead, I was able to afford more toys, errr, I mean attachments, which in the end has made for a much more useful tool, and that's what its all about.

I bet the differences in the B7800 and B3030 are really only evident after living with them for a while. I think it is safe to say that a B3030 owner would hardly ever wish theu had gotten the B7800, but going the other way isn't as safe.

Once you start adding just about anything to a B7800, I imagine it isn't much to just go uo to the B3030... I agree that the current Deere offerings are too much more, but tat may well change some with the new 2520...

CK30 comes with telescoping links, makes it pretty easy to attach stuff.

I use extendable lower links on one tractor, I think they are a minor improvement over regular lower links.

I use a Pat's Easy Change on the other tractor and it only takes a minute or maybe two to hook up an implement, less if it is not a PTO powered implement.

I do have a comment....
I said it before and I will keep saying it......
I don't care what color the hood is or the name on the tractor I think it is going to come down to the dealer that will make or break the product!

Nice post.,..............quit typing and get on the machine! Remeber when welding on anything with electronics, disconnect the battery or you might be very sorry. Red, the telescoping 3 point hitch arms is what first spiked my interest in Kioti. A feature I have never seen before. Great idea

I have two implements, BB and RC, so a quick change isn't practical for me right now. Plus I have to trailer everything 75 miles one way.
