CK30HST

That is a real good price as I'm sure everyone has told you. I just purchased (late October) a CK25 with FEL & Kioti 7.5' backhoe without the hydrostatic transmition and paid around $1,000 less, granted the New England prices tend to be higher. If I could have got the CK30 HST with bucket and backhoe I'd be breaking my fingers trying to get my wallet out.

Well, I went and checked out the CK30HST on Sunday even though no one was there. It sure is a beauty.

When I came home I told the wife I had found the tractor I wanted. She asked how much and I told her $16,000. She was /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Even though she told me a few weeks earlier that she knew I needed a tractor for the land we will be building on in a year. I tried explaining that it was a great price and that Kioti is coming out with new pricing and it will be at least a grand more in the future. I guess I will just have to wait until after we build /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. She thought I was looking at old Ford 8N's or something used in the price range of 3-6,000. She just does not understand buying new vs. used, the financing and all the other pros to the new Kioti.

Hello Nissan, I certainly understand your situation.. I went through the same situation with my wife a few years ago.. I bought land and needed a tractor right away for various tasks, ended up wasting money on other machines because she wouldnt let me buy a new tractor...Well after alot of persistence and explaining to her that the value of the land would be greatly increased by all the landscaping i could do let alone the 800 feet of driveway to maintain .... She eventually came around and i got my tractor... A CK30 Hst .. Its worth every penny.. My value of my land has far surpassed the price i payed for my tractor in one season.. And i have many more years of projects lined up... Good luck to you in your quest...

lol...our house building project lasted 18 months. I got the tractor three months after we completed the project. The biggest reason I waited was because of not being sure of the finances...the second biggest was because the wife thought it would be just a big toy...however had I got the tractor before we started to build I would have saved about $8000 during the build process and got a lot more work done! She now understands that completely and could she go back she would would have supported it much sooner.

Disclamer:
My wife and I served as the general contractor for our house and had a lot of land clearing, utility digging and site prep work to do so your savings may vary. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Something to consider. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sticker shock is one thing, but I explained to my wife that by buying new, I would not be spending any money trying to fix up an older tractor. When I had time to work the Tractor, I could just jump on it and go. Not work ON the Tractor.

Also I said I would (could) sell it after all the land work was done and recoup a good portion of the purchase price.

She has been amazed at the amount of work that can get done ( I only have a CK20 HST) and does feel it was well worth the cost.

See that was your first mistake...
It not $16,000.00 /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It's only $199.00 a month /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not sure this will be of help but /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

We are owner-builders of our future house. Early on, I decided a tractor would be a valuabe tool. I also thought I could find something used, that would not be a budget strain. After several months of just casual looking, my wife and I mentioned this plan to our banker (the one with the property mortgage). He was quick to inform us of the error of my thinking, that he could almost guarantee that it would be money well spent to get a new machine from the start. Naturally, the wife sees the value of information from the professional. I, on the other hand, did not want to spend 4 or 5 times my budget.
After much research, and time here at TBN, we became the proud owners of a brand new CK30HST TLB and a variety of attachments.
This tractor is our absolute BEST employee. Today, we built a 10X20 ft floor for a canopy garage/storage and had to flip it over. (see pic), Yesterday, it augered holes to plant 46 trees, my brush hogging is still at the rate of hours/acre, but the results is visually rewarding, last week we set nine 15 ft lengths of heavy pipe 5 feet deep in the ground... well the list goes on. To say "WE" consider our CK30 to be a great investment would be an understatement. I am so thankful my wife is so smart. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
