My father lost his battle Sunday morning.

He was never able to get back in the tractor after it came back from the shop in the spring.

I'm so sorry to hear this. May he rest in peace.

Just finished the burial last Friday. So many things to deal with. Appreciate all the condolences. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with.

Hello all. Just had the 1 year anniversary of his passing. They say it gets better, but I have not experienced that yet. The tractor has not moved in over a year, as I just have needed to deal with other things. With winter coming on I hesitate to sell it as we might need it to move snow.

Thought I would check in and see how others 494s are doing...anyone else had the banging or lost a wheel?

I have owned 2 TYM tractors. Both have had foot axle problems. C clips that hold the axle stub on are a weak link. I repaired them myself because out of warranty.
