That dozer did a great job and now you have the little guy to operate it.

Here is what the land looked like before I started any clearing:

Thanks again for the comments, I'm glad others are enjoying the thread too!

My friend Matt ran the dozer again today and I pulled the box blade around to spread top soil and level everything off nicely. I borrowed another friends Deere 8100 and 12 foot pull-type box blade. Everything went great and the place is looking good but I didn't quite have time to get good pictures. Here are the ones I did manage to take:

The box blade:

I taught my sister-in-law Paige how to drive the 8100, she done fine and even spread out some dirt:

My friend Matt by the dozer. He has operated dozers since he was a teenager:

My buddy Katie rode with me from our land back to the farm to put up the tractor. This is my youngest sister-in-law, she is 15. I remember when she was 5 years old they grow up too fast!

Another long day of play, I mean work! Here is the 8100 next to the new 8335R, a very very nice machine:

For anyone that is wondering... The 8100 is 160 PTO HP, more than enough to pull the box blade around. Remember: Too much, is just enough. :)

Very impressive pair of Deere's!!!!!!

Land is looking good. Nice to see you took the extra time to address watershed and your pad.

160 hp seems like huts the right amount for a 12' box blade....I'm thinking I need to tell my wife I need a new tractor with more power. Great pictures of some cool tractors.

With the extra HP and traction of the front wheel assist I was easily able to pull a fully loaded box blade up hills. The 8100 is one of my favorite tractors of theirs to run. It is so comfortable and easy to spend a long day in. I've spent many many hours pulling a 16' 3 point chisel or 27' field cultivator. I've also planted soybeans using a 16 row 40' planter and pulled the 750 bushel grain cart during corn harvest.

I haven't had a chance to run the new 8335R yet (335 net engine HP). That whole life thing gets in the way sometimes!!

it helps when you have support

Here is one pic of the dozer I forgot to upload. It shows the joystick controls.
