Funny I heard mention of an E.L.E. Just the other night I was laying in bed and watching the Discovery Channel. They were talking about E.L.E.'s and how they do so much destruction, if not total destruction.
It reminded me of my visit to the meteor crater outside Winslow, Arizona. It's hard to believe that a hole over 600' deep and half mile across was left by a "rock" only 100' in diameter. But, travelling at over 100,000 miles per hour, it made a nuclear explosion when it hit. Just imagine something the size of Vermont or Texas hitting earth. GAME OVER!
This thread has been beaten up pretty badly, but I have to add my .02 worth. I think global warming is being contributed to by our industy, vehicles (including air) and the animals. I also think it's hyped in the media.
I'm more worried about former USSR states/China/N.Korea/Iran being rogue nuclear states, than I am about my Toyota Tacoma emitting a little carbon monoxide.
Meanwhile, I'll be out disking the north 20.
