I think it was just a mis-interpretted joke. oh well.

For my own experience, I was discing a field of weeds with a ~80hp tractor. Came a little too close to aforementioned guide wire and meant to press clutch to slow down/ check clearance. Guide wire was on my left hand side, but instead of clutch i was on the left brake pedal! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Whoops! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gifManaged to clear it somehow /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Exactly, the guy out there didn't just randomly decide to put that pole /down guy/ big metal box/ little plastic cable box or any other thing that disturbs you, in your yard, for no reason. He didn't decide to dig up your yard for no reason either, my guess would be thats where the problem is. Yelling at the guy for doing his job trying to restore you and your neighbors services doesn't help anything. If you want to talk to the guy don't yell out the window and expect him to drop what he's doing and run up to you. Get a coat on go out in the rain and talk to him. Maybe take him a cup of coffee too. He would probably appriciate it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have one of those guy wires in my yard. I manage to keep my tractor away from it. I worry about my grandson who rides his go cart around the yard. I worry every time he rides that thing. I warn him to stay away from that wire;every time he rides. I think he's tired of hearing it already.

They don't. It's not their fault if some homeowners don't understand the need for them.
