Hey guys I tried what you said and started it in gear and that seemed to fix the problem.
Thanks for the advice, I would have never thought about that sticking

- Getting old. Sold the ranch. Sold the tractors. Moved back to the city.
Just remember to block the clutch when parking your tractor. Always did this with my 2008 Mahindra 5525.

Experiencing same clutch problem with 2006 6500 4WD. About to go try some of these tricks for unsticking the clutch. I first thought of towing it with truck to start it, but I like the starter method better. Fortunately, I thought of the risk before recruiting my son to come help. Thought, hmmmm, when it starts in high gear, and clutch is still stuck, how will I stop the beast before it climbs in the cab of the truck?

hhmmmm, I don't know how to disable safety interlock switch and don't want to. So, my 1st attempt didn't do it. Now, going back out to try H1 clutch in, while mashing brakes.
I wonder, am I more likely to pop clutch loose in 2x or 4x drive?

YAY! Clutch was stuck and now it is not!!!
I started and idled low. Put it in L1. Rolled a ways and tried putting into H1. That jolt, along with other things I had done, unstuck the clutch, Big Red came to a stop, and all seems normal.

Attached the disk harrow and began disking a field. Didn't get far, Oil light came on at idle. Temp gauge rose to near red. I headed for the water hose. Tried to put some in reservoir, but is was full. the radiator and hoses were cool to the touch.
Stuck Thermostat? Any other probabilities?

Oh dear, I hope you didn't trash your engine running it with no or low oil in the crankcase. Sound's like something went awry. What does the dipstick show? Maybe you lost some engine oil somewhere along the line. Still the coolant should have heated up too.
