Im not sure how your particular cabinet vents, but I only end up with the finest of dust in my collector the heavy grit remains in my hopper. Perhaps its the quality of bead your using? Ive been using glass grit and its now the consistancy of talcum powder but it still stays in the cabinet. What pressure you running? I dont go over 60 ish psi
I went to my abrasive supplier and got some Aluminum oxide for my blaster $$$
. He said i should get 10 times the life. I was going to go glass or steel bead, but he didnt recommend because of the type of blasting i do. He also said that the quality of bead can vary lots. he recommended Valantino? beads. I was also told steel shot will pretty much destroy a blaster that was not designed for it (ie:rubber lined) in no time. I was going to go with shot because its low dust, but went to aluminum instead because i got 2x more abrasive for my money compaired to steel. And with my setup it takes a 5-10 mins to recycle the abrasive between pressure pot fills.
