hello everyone newbie here. first off just want to say i really like the board. next i wonder if anyone can tell me what type of oil or does oil even go in the gear box on top of the mower and how much. just got the mower and it did not come with book and cant find a site for me to ask. any help would be appreciated as its almost time to start cutting.

Is this a new mower? And, the dealer didn't have a manual?
Well, the gear box does require oil. It's probably 90W gear oil. You should see a plug on the side of the gear box. Also, look for one on top....may be one there, but should definitely be one on the side. Remove those plugs.
If there is a plug on the top, fill through that hole. Otherwise, use a funnel and fill through the side hole. When you see oil draining out of the side hole, it's filled.
I suggest you ask the dealer, but I suspect it's one of those Chinese brands that get renamed to sell in the USA.

I have a pto shaft from Comer. They are italian. Try www.comergroup.com I found a link to a finish mower at Finish mowers but things are listed kind of weird. Like mowers are listed under Land Preperation machines.
