Everyone I know pronounces both words the same. Care-uh-mel just sounds pretentious.
I've also heard it pronounced Care Mel.

I dunno... Care-uh-mel just sounds correct to me

It could be a regional thing pronunciation though too

Demandatory. Had a girlfriend who said it. I thought it was great - a word defining itself. I never said anything and she was so mad at me for not correcting her mistake when someone else told her.

Some think the liquid inside the hollow part of a coconut is the "milk"...but the actual "milk" is pressed from the meat of the nut...!

Good point. But not usually in your normal consumer lingo. Growing up I used to refer to any water heater as a hot water heater.

My wife says "hot water heater" also... It drives me almost as crazy as when she calls a car windshield a "window shield".

Diner and supper get's confusing between households.

Diner is at mid day, and sometimes carried in a diner pail.

Supper is the evening meal. Often times soup to sup.

Both are often stirred in a pot ;-)
