Muhammad, a couple of things...

First, congratulations, this looks like a book I would buy in a heartbeat and wish it were out a year ago. Obviously, a lot of thought, time and energy went into this.

Second though, please add me to the hardcover list. I did buy the download, but I'd prefer something I can read from the seat of my tractor /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Can we apply the download cost to the eventual hardcover?

Finally, I had a problem with the download (I think). I saved it using the IE "save as" command, but it won't open now. I get a message that says "There was an error opening this document. File does not begin with '%PDF-'". Granted, I'm no computer whiz, so what did I do wrong?

To all concerned about the downloadable book let me tell you that Muhammad has gone above and beyond in helping me. I am not the most computer literate person, as Harv can attest to, and Muhammad has held my hand through the whole process and has got me set up at my office and at my house with the book. He answered questions and emails almost immediately. I just got through printing a hardcopy of the book and it came out great. I'm in the process right now of binding it. There is some great info. here. Like I told Muhammad I've been around farming and tractors my whole life and there is stuff that I'm learning that I wasn't aware of. I was going to get it for a reference when I needed it but it has turned out to be a learning tool as well. Go ahead and buy if you are thinking about it at all. Muhammad will take care of you and make sure you have the book just as you want it. I'm very pleased and impressed with the way it has been handled.

Since we don't have firm dates/release/price/details on the hard copy version, I really can't say right now exactly what type of special offer there will be for buyers of the e-version. But we will let you know.

As for the download, the document extension should be .pdf. If it is already in .pdf format and you can't open it, e-mail me and I'll send you a copy directly.

Nevermind...

I fixed my own problem with the download. For any others having the same problem use the Adobe save icon NOT the browser save command. Works like a charm.

How about a price-break on the hard copy for previous "download" purchasers ( like a software "upgrade") /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

It's hard to "read myself-to-sleep" at a computer,...I'd prefer the real "Book" myself.

Hmmm, I'm afraid to even try to download a "book". Even 10 to 20 page .pdf files take forever. I figure with my computer, my telephone lines, my ISP, and my ignorance, I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in you know where. But I, too, would like to purchase a hard copy if or when it's available.

This book is a great idea.. but just how big (file size) is this thing? I have the same concerns that it will take forever to download on a dial up connection, but luckily I do have a direct internet connection at work (hehe)..

Put me down for a 'hard cover copy' also.. But thanks for doing this for us!
