Looks like a just have to have it kind of item for me. But I will hold off for the print version. I don't have a laptop, and I can't sit in front of the fireplace with my desktop (my favorite winter reading location). Looks like you really have outdone yourself this time.

I have not been able to download or display the book. If it did in fact download i cannot find it. Also something shows up saying an error in displaying the thumbnails. Machines I understand but this I do not yet I am out 25 dollars. Not happy. Is this possibly some type of strange joke? J

My download went fine, i just saved the download to my hard disk, double clicked on the download and had winzip (you may need to download winzip, or another compression program, from the web- it is free for personal use) unzip it, and saved the file to my harddrive as a .pdf file. You do need the adobe acrobat reader to view the a .pdf file(it is a free download from the web also)... BUT, if you are a Mac user (my home machine, but i downloaded on my work W98 machine luckily) - the file downloads as a "zipped .exe file".. that will cause you problems. Im not sure why it isnt just a zipped (compressed) .pdf (acrobat reader) file, but since it is an .exe file your mac cant do anything with it unless you have a windows emulator program. Macs can handle zipped files (using stuffit expander), just most of us dont have the capabilities to handle .exe files. To be fair to mac users, the files need to be reconfigured so it is just a zipped .pdf file. But from what i've glanced at the book it looks good.

I had doubts about downloading it when he said it was 230 pages, but I just let Windows 98 SE do its thing using the defaults. It downloaded in about 6 minutes to the "Downloads" file, double clicked on that, it unzipped to the "C:/temp" file, went to Windows Explorer to the "C:/temp" file, double clicked on that, and now my printer's hard at work. Of course, I do have WinZip and Adobe Acrobat Reader that was mentioned.
Definitely not my preferred method of buying a book, but it gets the job done, and quick.

Usually with a download it will ask me where I want to put the file and I can do real download or winzip but this didn't do any of that. It just went straight to adobe and I couldn't find anywhere to save it. Then when I did save it offline it wouldn't let me do that. That's what we fixed, so those downloading now have a different download method than the ones who downloaded yesterday morning and Monday night. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
