I ordered the book at Digibuy and got an order number, but it's been 20 minutes with no e-mail confirmation. I assume that will tell me how to download the book. Did I do something wrong?

Sorry, just got the confirmation. Got impatient and wanted instant satisfaction. You know, the digital age and all. Anyway, for those who might have the same concern, I got my e-mail confirmation in just over 20 minutes with instructions and link to a download site. If you're like me this could be your first book download experience, and knowing what is going on is a good thing. Gotta go download it!

Muhammad; Just downloaded the book, and I am looking very forward to reading it. Saved two images: one at home, and one to continue reading at work (Was coming in through an extranet client, so it was easily done). Given the information in prior post about copyrights, I assume this is OK. (One purchase, two private copies… I didn't place it on one of our corporate servers for all 150k employees to read /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif).

Will let you know what I think. (My take until this weekend to finish - I still have some work-related 'alligators' snapping at my toes).

I have looked through most of the book and find that it combines all the great information I have read on the compact tractor boards over the past year in one easy to read place.. I now need to print it out so I can read it in my library/reading room (ie. the bathroom)

Has any mac users ran into a problem with getting error messages? I have an imac, adobe 4.0, os 9.0.4 - when i get to page 38 i get the message "there was an error processing this page. There was a problem reading this document (14)." When you click OK, you then get "Could not find a font in the Resources dictionary - using Helvetica instead.", click ok then you get "There was a problem reading this document (14)." Then you have to close the window and reopen the file I can reproduce this most everytime i get to page 38 and beyond. Could the font i dont have be causing this? I have sent myself two separate copies from work, so it shouldnt be a download corruption. And i dont get this error message on my w98 machine at work. I think it may have something to do with the graphics/charts, but not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can't say that I've had any problems reading the book, although when I tried it just now, all the power in the neighborhood went out! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Not ready to blame that one on Muhammad just yet. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I'm running an older PowerMac, a 6500 w/OS 8.6 and Acrobat Reader 4.0.5. Page 38 works just fine, as does the rest of the document, and I don't see any unusual fonts in the area you mentioned.

It does sort of sound like file corruption. You might try sending a copy from your Mac back to your Windows machine at work and see if it still holds up. Can't think what else could be wrong.

Or maybe it's just a little queasy since you announced it is destined to be bathroom material. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Ok, thanks for letting me know. On all of the test orders, it has taken about 5 minutes from the time you get the confirmation page to when the e-mail arrives. I guess some other e-mail systems experience slight delays.

Recently got your new book and it is a great book and easily read and excellent reference.. I too will get a HARD copy when available.

I am not a fan of cyber-books, but I would definitely buy a hard copy. Any plans for printing yet?
