Oh, now you're just picking on me. Heck, you're playing tag team with MtnView!! First he makes me admit that I honestly came darn close to buying a Mahindra and then you pile on telling EVERYONE that I almost bought a 3rd world tractor! Oh, the humanity!! I'm just going to run and hide now. I'm no match for you guys... :)

You guys just wait until I get those tie down straps!! You'll regret picking on me then! I only have 6 more months to pay on my claw hammer. Don't you guys forget that now!

No, it delivers 17GPM at 2500 engine speed verified on mine by stopwatch and loader speed. This is just adequate to run skid steer power accessories.

I'm trying to figure out what good 17gpm is when the loader is "slow" as xxxsandman pointed out. A very slow loader would drive me nuts.

I also have knocked down plenty of trees, leveled land, took out a pond dam, and stacked junk cars on trailers. I also know my tractor is smaller than a 7520

Oh no no no... You've got that all wrong! "Third world tractor" was the nickname of another poster for the Mahindra brand! Not moi! Why if I won the PowerBall lottery tomorrow, I have BOTH a 7520 and a 7010 CAB sitting in my driveway within 72 hours! :D

You are talking to the wrong dude if you think I am a "Mahindra Diss'r"!!! Sheer brute strength and power does it for me every time!

Gee, it would for me too! Let's recheck XXXSandman's exact words:

The 17gpm pump output is out of the published specs from Mahindra. The steering pump is 5.2gpm. I read a debate about this over in the Mahindra forum. It seems some didn't believe it was that much, mainly due to the slower loader speed. I think they finally decided it was indeed close to that, but I'm not sure.
Turns out that XXXSandman should have kept reading a little longer. He would have found out that some 7520 machines had air leaks on the hydraulic pump suction side. Once fixed, the 7520s and ML275 loaders worked exactly as spec'd out... 17 GPM and about a 5 to 6 second lift time to full height at design RPM. Maybe a "very slow loader" by your standards but plenty fast for me, especially given its considerable lifting capacity.

Nah, I believe quite the opposite. I was being factious.

Factious about the hammer part. I only have 5 payments left on it. ;)

* Mahindra 7520 4wd - BIG and HEAVY. Love the turbo, lots of power! FEL seems really slow, but very strong. Controls and layout wasn't layed out as good or nice as the others. Best quote on a new one so far $27,895 which includes rebates and no financing.

Thanks
James

FEL seems really slow Maybe tractor's rpms were slow.

I still would like to know why James is not considering JD, Massey, and NH.

Well 17gpm or not the NEW 7520 tractor I demoed had a slow loader, at least compared to the kubota. I timed it and it was close to 7 seconds at full throttle to lift all the way. That doesn't sound bad on paper, but for some reason it seemed slow. The loader speed was painfully slow at idle or low engine speed. Of course all loaders are slower at lower engine speeds, but the 7520 seemed much slower. Honestly I would expect more from a tractor with a 17gpm pump, the 11gpm pump tractors was as fast or faster.

Is the cylinders that much bigger then everyone elses on the 7520's loader?
Or is there some kind of design flaw in the hose sizing, valve selection or routing that is causing a flow restriction, not allowing that nice 17gpm pump to show it stuff?

Keep in mind before you start chopping at my comments, I don't have a dog in this fight, just looking for one. And Dougster i read that entire thread about 7520 loader speeds, pump output, etc, it was painfully long and drawn out.
