Comparing the B2920 and B2620

I agree with Chuck, I purchased my 2920 because of the extra PTO HP. I ordered a 63" blower and wanted just a little extra power. I love the machine, it is quiet and does have plenty of power. I had a BX24, and could not believe the difference between the two machines. Whatever you chose I'm sure you will be happy!

The trailer issue is something that I have been struggling with too. I don't have the room to store one, and I would want a double axle trailer to haul my B2620. U-haul rents trailers, and they're fairly cheap. I'll just rent one the next time I need it. I would not be using it that often, maybe once or twice a year, so renting making more sense for me.

Good idea but it won't work! I was going to do the exact same thing to haul my B3030. When I went to U-haul and Penske to check them out I found out that their trailers are only made to haul large cars, not tractors or small sports type cars. The deck on their trailers are not solid across the entire width of the trailer. Instead there are non-movable tracks to drive on to. The problem is that the tractor is not wide enough to fit on the tracks.

I ended up finding a 7000 lb tandem axle trailer in great condition on Craigs list.

U-haul has a 6X12 landscape trailer that can handle 1900 lbs. That's just enough to handle my B2620 with loaded tires.

How is the 63" blower working out on the 2920? I had asked my dealer about using it, but he wasn't sure about HP and compatibility in general.

I'd say you will have no problem at all running that 63" blower. I just recently bought a 60" for my B7510 (16hp @ pto) and it is running quite well. I even tried it in 25" settled icy snow in my yard and it worked fine. I just drove SLOOWWW.

As far as more HP when skidding logs and such. Chuck in NH has it right. You will lose traction way before you run out of Hp. I can't get the engine to bog down on my tractor when skidding logs or using the loader. I have 550lbs of weight on the back and it is in 4wd.
If your use will REGULARLY include chipping a lot of wood or run larger bushog or a larger tiller than by all means go with more HP.
I think you would be happy either way.
