I have a Bosch Brute which is a small 60# hammer with chisel, mole and shovel bits and it works well enough for its size. I also have Hiltis' with the SDS max bits and extensions with the 2" thru 5" bits for running up to 4" conduit and sewer pipe. Very satisfied with all of these.
For what you are doing I would try the Brute to see if it will accomplish your tasks. Rent it first and buy it if it works out.
