Yep that's what MS said. If you can cache the whole Exchange store...it should run faster. It's still weird to look at...this is a 10gig ram server that's using almost 11 gig. :D

Just a thought here but have you tried to use some flash memory and Vista's ReadyBoost. With your 1g you could go up to 2.5g with USB flash drive and get a very inexpensive boost in performance. I currently run Vista with 2g memory and another 2g flash drive.

If you have questions just go to the "Help and Support" and type in Readyboost.

Speak more on this subject.

I had a friend with a sony that could use memory sticks.. but will vista let you use flash drives as ram?

That is a slick setup and since my main use on this computer is the internet and photo editing it would help out (not so much the internet but with photos).

What do these USB flash drives that can use this feature usually cost?

I just bought bulk packaged 4gb usb drives for 19.99 and 2 gb SD cards for 13.99. They also had 8gb usb drives for 29.99 under the checkout counter. Happened to be in the big city last week & stopped in for some additional wi-fi hardware.

Unlike Best Buy these guys stock what they advertise!!

I have an Ativa (Office Depot) 2Gb USB drive. Had to try this. Allocated 1.5Gb and it sure seemed to speed up browsing and reading TBN.

When shopping for these drives make sure that the packaging lists that it supports Windows ReadyBoost. I have not seen any of the cheaper ones that do. I stopped at Sam's today and saw a package of 3-2G units for about $70. The packaging BOLDLY stated that it supports Windows ReadbyBoost. Saw the same one on line...here is the link
