Concrete driveway difficulty

Have you thought about using something like Keystone blocks for your retaining wall? I have about 250' of 3' high wall installed down one side of my pond and around the island.

Thanks, I will check the slip forms out. What kind of excavation- curb trench - needed for the slip forms? Otherwise, is the concept doable and does it make sense to do it this way ? I am thinking it has to save money over a complete concrete or asphalt drive. . . No extreme weather here -

Base is prepared in the normal fashion for the curbs.

The job will most likely have to be done by contractor with equipment. Cost??

One can also buy precast curbs. This would be easier to do. Might be the cheapest and friendlier installation. Again cost ?

Your idea of containing the gravel within curbs makes perfect sense. for the length of driveway.

In my experience, rock stays pretty much where you put it. The more you drive over it and compact it, the better it will lock together. I've never heard of rock coming off a gravel drive unless you drag it off.

I'm totally confused at the justification of putting in curbs on a driveway. What will this accomplish?

If it's a look you want, then by all means, spend the money, but otherwise, save your cash for something else.
