Hello, does anyone do this or know credible people who do this in S.E.Michigan? I have started to fill in joints between concrete in driveway/parking areas on home. I can finish myself, but i thought I'd check on this with forum. Would be faster with good size portable air compressor, if cost is not more than Im willing to pay.Have a price now at $3.50 per lineal foot. Any advice? Thank you for your assistance!

Not sure what you are trying to do. Fill in joints in old concrete. pour more concrete or ???

Unless you have a very large area a calking gun will do the job.

Pouring new concrete 30# felt paper is fine to put between pours. There is also some thicker tar based products.

Modern thing is to just cut a grove every few feet to give it a place to crack.

I don't understand the question at all. What's an air-compressor got to do with expansion joints in concrete? I did use my air-compressor and blow gun to clean out expansion joints and cracks before partially filling them with sand and then SikaFlex SL.

Looks like the compressor is for cleaning before sealing... if I read it correct. I use my blower (back pack or on wheels whichever I grab) when I do it. Put backer foam if it is too wide and deep then seal it.

You're right that you need to clean the joints with compressed air. Get some backer rod to fill the crack so that you have 3/4'" left and seal with SL-1. If you have to rent a 185 it may be cheaper to hire out if there isn't enough footage to justify.

Pressure washer would also work. Many times just a garden hose will do it.:)
