By the time they find out isn't it a bit late.
To me, police are not just doing a job, they are symbols. It goes with the job. It's the reason we teach our children to seek out a policeman if they are in trouble.
But like in the old movies, where the cop on the beat is shown swiping apples, the symbol becomes a joke.
