Considering Z915B

It's not clear is this was directed to me or not, but the answer is put some grease in.

I think that the manufactures just put the zerks there to keep the customer from complaining even if they are not necessary.

I have a JC Penny 10HP tractor with a two blade, 36" deck that I bought new in 1979. It does not have grease fitting on the blade spindles.

In 1998, I replaced all four spindle bearings, I had a job shop press out the old bearings and put the new ones in. They are still going good after 21 years.

Nope, grease is necessary...... Some time in the early 90's I bought a new Deere L&G tractor. I bought a new one every year for many years so this story could pertain to a 318, 322 or 425, I really don't remember which. But it had a 54" deck and was "ready to mow" the dealer said. And I started mowing.

With about 6 hours on the meter, the trouble began. It went back to the dealer and Deere admitted that some decks were never greased when they were assembled. So I got 3 new greased spindles installed, no charge.

The Deere commercial grade ZTR's are outstanding machines!
I have a Z920 that fits my mowing quite well...I'm considering going to the Z994 because I'd rather have a diesel mower...in fact, going to a dealer this weekend. Not sure if I can swing it, but I'm going to see...
