First off, there was a post other than yours which had no stated basis and was simply a flaming arrow tossed out there.
Second...the UTDA site says the marketing (marketing, not quality) focus is secondary and the "will involve" implies a future goal. No organization could ever reasonably enforce any quality standards on a widely spread and diverse group of dealers. That is why those of us who try to present quality constantly advise shoppers to get references from sellers...not to read alleged references on a dealer website. I can post anything I want on my website....the only limitation is my honesty. And as should be apparent to all who read here, honesty is not a trait of every seller.
The exact marketing quote is "The secondary focus is on marketing, and will involve establishing a wider base of service and parts support, again contributing to these tractors being a better value for the consumer"
And the UTDA HAS presented a wider base of service and parts to the market....any UTDA dealer who provides service has agreed to provide service & parts, to the extent that they are available, (not warranty, not free, but service at their normal rates) for any UTDA certified tractor, regardless of which UTDA dealer sold it.
