Kubota MX5200
I have a Kubota MX5200. I have to questions. I bought a Titian 1912 rotary cutter. It has a single hydraulic hose for operation. I do not have rear remotes and just plan on mounting a single hydraulic control valve. There are some many options it has become confusing. What spool do I need and do I need itt to spring back to neutral? Also how would I go about plumbing the valve. I installed a third function on the tractor last year. Thanks in advance.

Will you be using the rear remote for other functions or pieces of equipment besides the rotary cutter? If yes then I would recommend a standard 4 way 3 position for operating double acting cylinders. If not using the cylinder for controlling height of cut you could use a 4 way 3 position for double acting cylinder with 4th position detent float feature. This would let the cutter cylinder float.

Not sure if MX requires open center valve for fixed displacement pump or closed center for variable volume pumps.

Late to the party.....but sounds like you need to install a set of rear remotes.

Another option is IF you have a loader......and IF you mow with the loader OFF, you can simply have a hose made to go from one of the loader fittings back to the cutter hose.

And the MX is open center
