converting equipment trailer to dump dual use

For your situation I would build a dump box like shown in the picture but have it built up so it will fit over and a little forward of center between the dual wheels. This way the weight will mostly be distributed over the trailer axles and still dump over the side. The center of gravity will be about the same as having a CUT backhoe on the trailer. But the mounting will need to be thought out to meet DOT rules.
