Well, I might be a wimp too, because a tankful of gas in my Kombi is enough for me! Of course that gives me an hour of clean up, so then I am ready for another tank of gas.

The cleanup is the bad part. Also trying to get that last limb that is just a little higher, maybe I can stand on tiptoe and stretcchhh aanndd jjuusstt reach it,........ Then trying to get out of the way as it falls on your head.

I have the Stihl Kombi system as well. I can run the pole saw for an hour or two and then I beat. I alternate between the brush cutter and the saw when clearing trails and shooting lanes, and can easily switch back and forth all day. I did by a Fiskers pole saw last year for trimming from my stand and really tall stuff, it works great!

I have used this thing for a while now. I like it. Battery life has not been an issue, even with the battery being shared with a string trimmer.

I find it great for clearing brush so I don't have to get in close as with a chain saw. It's nice to stop and start the machine when needed. It will stall if you engage the material before starting the motor.

Recently, I have been having the chain jam ( a lot) getting pinched in falling/twisting branches. I feared this might happen as the saw is not coming down horizontally. An adjustable head might have been the answer. I should read the instructions (which I never got). Maybe look them up on line.

Manual is at the bottom of this page. I wanted to see if the head could be rotated for a more horizontal cut at full reach. It can't. That's the problem with the other electric pole saws I've used, too.

Thanks for that. Seems I wasn't doing anything wrong. Getting a chain saw pinched is one thing. This, where you can't reach it, and don't want to let the saw dangle (and bend the bar) is another.

Don't have the pole saw, but I do have the Oregon chainsaw. Two batteries do all I want anymore by the time I handle the brush. I didn't buy it to replace my gas saw, but makes a good addition to the tool supply! May get the pole saw sometime in the future.

I was thinking about the chain saw too. I would want to see if the chain fits anything else I have. I have a stihl electic and a small 017. A few weeks ago, I discovered that the cahains are different! Too many chains to keep around, so I would like the Oregon to fit at least one of these.
