Yep... been there and done that... every roof I have in Oakland has at least one slug in it... none have gone through.
Bondoed over several metal front door holes from bullets with the slug in the wall.
The last slug went through a window screen, through a window, across the room through drywall, out drywall and imbedded in the hollow core sliding closet door.
Growing up you learn early to wait it out in the bath tub when you hear gunshots... safest place to be down low with cast iron around you.
I've seen cars stop in an intersection and empty a clip at an apartment house... while I'm 60' away mowing the lawn.
Made the news several times when shotguns were used... lots of holes to fill!
Umm... Ah... I'd just like to emphasise that the holes in my roof were a result of creosote from my wood-heater chimney rusting out along the grooves of my 'tin' (colorbond) corrugated roof.
No random or deliberate firearm discharges were involved.
