Corriher\'s/First Choice Mower

After posting several questions on finish mowers on TBN, I decided on the First Choice 60 inch model. I ordered it Friday from Corriher's and received it this past morning. After pricing various models, I decided that First Choice had the best value. However...

I was a little leary about buying a brand that I had no experience with, sight unseen over the internet, from an out of state company. Well, let me tell you, after looking it over, Corriher's/First Choice puts King Kutter to shame. For the same amount of money, First Choice puts together a much better looking and better designed product. The paint job is hundreds of times better (no rust on it yet!), and I can't cut myself on the welds! I can't wait to try it out, but I won't be seeing the new tractor for another day or two! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

If anyone out there is contemplating the purchase of a King Kutter finish mower, I recomend looking at ordering the First Choice mower from Corriher's. It's the better way to go in my opinion... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sicma offers two series of finish mowers, which one did you receive?
What colors does Corriher stock?
Was the color green available?
Was the mower fully assembled with oil?

I think they have <font color="blue"> blue </font> , <font color="orange"> orange </font> , and <font color="red"> red </font> in stock.

Don't know. It's model number GM30-60S. They have solid tires and air tires for the same price. Checking out the competition there, huh? Disguise your voice and give them a call with any other questions you have. I'm sure they would be happy to answer them for you! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Their customer service is great, they ship fast, and their prices are top notch! Even though I haven't mowed with it yet, it appears to be quite a quality unit. Great paint job, heavy gauge steel, and it appears to be constructed very well. For the SAME PRICE, someone would have to be crazy to go with KK! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I got my FC 60" RFM from Corriher in May. It was $1100.00 assembled. I got it in Iseki blue.

I like doing business with them. All but one of my implements came from Corriher.

My tractor came with a full tank of Diesel from them. Glad to here the mower is nice, will be looking for one next year. Good guys to work with.

No intent to flame, only to inform, so please take no offense. First Choice puts nothing together...they market. The mower is likely made by Sicma. I am curious as to whether you looked at our Sitrex....at $40 less and with a rear chain guard standard, I believe it to be a better value than the First Choice. Sitrex does come only in red, so for someone willing to pay the difference to get a color choice, the First Choice may be a better choice.

Yep, I'm looking for VALUE. But I'm also shopping for products that are readily available and known to me. Of course, I know all of the "big" brands out there. They all have reputations, but that comes at a price that I wasn't willing to pay. After looking at the brands that were known to me, I decided that First Choice/Corriher/Sicma (whatever brand you want to call it) was the best VALUE that was presented in front of me. There are probably hundreds of brands that I don't know of, and have never heard of, and there are probably even some (maybe yours) that are a better value, but just need some better marketing and word of mouth from satisfied customers to get the word out to people like me. There's thousands of people who buy King Kutter because they think that's out there. I got tricked by that once, but have since learned there's much more out there beyond Tractor Supply Company. Best of luck to you, but spread the word to other newbies out there that you're the way to go! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
