It is possible NH has a wrench made just for this with a crazy bend or bends to it. Is taking it to dealership an option? No idea on the side with pipe over the bolt heads but sometimes a good impact wrench can tighten bolts if the nuts are not turning fully free.
That's a good idea. He might also find a piece of flat stock that could be held between the 2 nuts, wedging the nut long enough for it to bite and not spin.

Radium,

Is this a new tractor under warranty?
loader installed by NH dealer let them make it right.

Any chance of jabbing a screwdriver against the nut to hold it till the bolt startes to get tight.. that or use an impact wrench to spin it up fast and see if it will grab.

other idea is a stick welder electrode stuck up there and tack weld the nuts tot he support so they become captive..

Well thanks for all the great ideas, yes the tractor is still under warranty, but I don't consider loose bolts would fall under warranty it's more just maintenance issue. The funny thing is after a season of rock picking with a big old rock bucket not one loose bolt, but a little bit snow and ice and I've got a loose loader go figure, must have something to do with the cold ;-). Tomorrow in the warm shop things might look a little different, not laying on the cold ground, plus I like the idea of the welding the nuts to the back of the frame so I don't have this problem again something tells me it's going to happen again.

If the loader was installed the correct way you would not be having these problems.
I here ya and find myself included to try and fix my own problems.

Why should you have to bust your A trying to correct a problem cause by the Installer of your loader.

am in NY and move big rocks the cold and rocks has nothing to do with it.
I don't beleve it's a Maint issue.

Just trying to save your knuckels and aggravation and possible voiding your warranty by you welding in that area.

It's probally the right thing to do (welding)
But why not let the Dealer make it right by you..

Maybee call them and see what they say... many places have mobile service trucks.. if one is in your area.. might only be a few minutes out of the way for him to back in and buzz the nuts... thus no issues with the warranty.. and no hassles.

I for sure would not use it loose as it will snap bolts, break out mount points in the cast, and elongate holes in the frame..

Well we started the project, well first off it's deftly better working in a warm garage with plenty of light and a little music jamming. My brother the guru of all things mechanical told me I didn't know what I was doing, it was funny to see his face when he couldn't reach the nuts with his wrenches of all sizes, sockets, and clamps even a homemade jig that he spent 20 minutes welding together to hold those pesky nuts I told you he's the guru or so he thought after about two hours he gave in, I knew I wasn't that dumb :) :). So after much discussion we figured we'd go to the dealer who is a good friend of mine to get some advice, yeah I know I should just let the dealer take care of it but where's the challenge in that besides it's a chance to hang out with my bro and laugh. Now for the answer the shop manager doesn't know, he's never had to tighten the loader on one of these new tractor's apparently the cab models have a few more things up front AC pump & lines that really get in the way compared to the open stations tractors he'll get back to me. So back to the bat Cave, now to be honest one of the bolts could be reached by jacking the front of the tractor up and moving the axles up and down, but that's just not practical so it's time for a little dismantling, the guru's idea move the radiator out of the way, "I had to change the fluid anyway" and then he will get some measurements, he will take some flat stock and cut two holes larger than the nuts themselves and then weld them into that flat plate it will not hurt the frame or add thickness we will probably have it solved by the time the server's manager hears from new Holland, it's too much to go into right now ,but check out my post to Sir knight about my soft cab mounts that took eight months to solve my feathering clutch issue which was solved by me after reading about a gentleman with a Montana tractor with the same issue. Thanks again for all your ideas.

Service manager just got done explaining to me that new Holland is unaware of any issues with tightening bolts on the loader regardless of cab or open station, the funny thing was as he was explaining the procedure to me he was sort of laughing knowing how hard to almost impossible it would be. This is just one more thing in my little black book against new Holland . I know the dealer can do it for me but that's not the point when you ask a question to a manufacturer you should get a little more response than just tighten the customers bolts and don't make problems, what am I going to do when it's out of warranty pay them to tighten it for me, that'll be the day I keep a tractor that I cannot tighten bolts on a loader. Now I don't want to come off as one of these people who secretly planning to go buy another bigger tractor and justifying it by a few problems, because the truth is I love the tractor it's the perfect size to power that I needed and my dealer has the nicest folks you'd ever want to work with, I just hope someday he sell orange or green :). I really think new Holland should start to reach out to the customer base or perhaps put better representation in the field rather than just throwing the problems on the dealer which is a very common thing I've come to learn and experience firsthand on more than three separate occasions. Well anyway tomorrow we will be putting it back together good as new and no future problems at keeping that loader tight My new Signature going to be "love the tractor hate the company" ;-).
