counter balancer timing

Anyone here familar with counter balancer timing on a Jonh deere 1070. Book says to mark it before removal but I didn't have the book before removal. The balancer assembly has a timing mark on the gear that meshes with the crank but the crank gear doesn't have a mark on it. Any ideas?

Ok, after talking to the John Deere Dealer and reading a couple of articles and posting on two different web sites I went home this after noon and located the timing mark on the crank. It was sooooo light that it could hardly be seen.
