Very, very nice job, Tom! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'd say that's a whole lot more attractive than my big ugly 300# bundle of rebar I use for counterweight on my boxblade. Tom; Thanks for the welcome back. The welding is doing fine so far. I still have problems with verticle up, but I am getting better. We had a garbage truck in the other day. When it came in everthing was frozen. By the time I was done patching up the outside of the box, the inside had thawed opposite where I was welding. Man, we had rotten cabbage and sulfur smell all over the place. Maybe if we could get Davey, Pauley, and Mike over there we could start our own shop. jimmysisson, I have a weight bucket similar to Soundguy. Looks almost identical for that matter. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I welded a large round flat washer on the ends of two pieces of chain which I attach to the lower link ends. The other end of the chain then attaches to two pieces of metal that have "key hole" type slots cut into them to allow me to attach the chain at the top link. I then support the weight bucket completely on the chains. For my little Kubota (B1550) this takes all pressure off of the hydraulic system. I've been using this arrangement for many years now and I highly recommend it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif You apparently have a much larger tractor and this set up might not be needed on your tractor.
