Tiller Country Line 6' Tiller

Well I finally up graduated up to a 6' tiller. I have had a 5' king kutter for ever but it just wasn't wide enough to cover my rear tire tracks, My Montana R4944 is a 2009 version of the LS R4047 and it was just to wide. The 5' tiller worked great and all but I could still see my tire tracks and that just bothered me, so I took advantage of the TSC sale. The new country Line is now made by Tarter, its QH compatible and was on sale. Normally TSC sells them for $1999.99 they were on sale for $1899.99 and I told them I wanted them to get me in a new unit because the one there had been sitting out it the rain and the snow all winter so they took off an additional 5%. I don't want to say I am cheep but I am thrifty, (meaning I'm cheep) I just couldn't pass up the deal. Now all I have to do is wait the month till I can even walk in the garden and get out there and till in all of the horse manure the wife has been spreading all winter it's like 12" deep it is every year our garden really grows good, it takes like 4 passes over just to find dirt. I just can't wait! But I can go out sooner and do the horse arena because it is all sand, if anyone wants a nice even fluffy finish for there arena a tiller does a fine job you just can't go real deep and make it too soft.

I think you'll enjoy the new tiller! 6' is a good size. That's a lot of horse manure!

Thanks I'm pretty excited I just love getting new toys. Your KK tiller is just like my 5' unit except wider and heavier, my 5 footer wasn't quick hitch compatible the two lower link pins were too close to the rail to install the cat 3 adaptors on and it just jumped around way to much for me without the adaptors installed. Well this one is QH and I know because it is on the tractor already waiting for summer all I have to do is put in the gear lube and grease the fittings up. Now all I have to do is figure what the 5 footer is worth and get it on craigslist before our season comes and goes.

Yeah they can bounce pretty hard in tough soil. You made the right move!

The quick hitch makes it so easy to hook up! I love mine!

This is perfect time to sell your old tiller. I think it will go pretty quick! Should be a big demand right about now.

Yea I have to pressure wash it grease it and check the gear lube I would never sell anything like it without doing what ever maintenance needed to be done first. But I am at the age when I am a weekend warrior nothing seems to get done during the week unless I can get up in the morning and start it right off but that means I have to be off of work so hence the weekend warrior thing. It is so muddy here right now I have a little time this weekend should be fine.

I just bought a County Line 5' tiller at TSC. Appears it is made by Behlens, according to the manual supplied and their web site. I don't know any thing about that brand but they show a lot of products. I preferred a new King Kutter but the closest ones were 50 miles away and looked really old and weathered. This one has a 2014 build date and looks good, came bolted to a nice galvanized tube frame that will make a dandy work table too.

Never figured out how to post pics. Their are some on the TSC and Behlens web sites. Northern Tool sells this model also. This one won't get much use but I finally just got too old to struggle with a walk behind tiller any longer. Made one pass with my rear tine last week and told my wife, "that's it, from now on the tractor does the work".

Congratz on your new tiller! I bought a 5' tiller a few weeks ago from Agri Supply. Tractor Supply wasn't stocked with tillers yet up here.

Well I sold the 5' tiller that the new 6' replaced. I was amazed I put it on craigslist one day and the next emails were coming out of the wood work, sold it to the first person who looked at it. Heck I had people how just wanted to commit top buy it over the phone before the first person (who had an appointment to look at it that night) came so they didn't loose it. I have never had that much interest in anything I have listed, heck no one even questioned price. Maybe I should have asked for more!

I was looking for quite awhile for a 6' tiller and came across a 66" tiller in a barn that was sold with a kioti DK40. turns out it is a Sicma- Phoenix brand. It is one heavy duty made tiller. I have used it so far just this early Spring and it is a BEAST. My previous brand was Bushhog.I do commercial and residential tilling for people on the side. I would have for sure bought a King Kutter II if one was available near me. I just couldn't pass up on the price of this one. I am still a happy camper.

I found a 6ft king kutter on craigslist for $200. It had a broken gear but $200 in parts and a little time I had a lightly used 6ft king kutter. It has worked great.

I thought it was a good deal. As soon as I saw the add I called and set up a time to meet him as soon as he could. I knew it would be gone soon if I didn't. He had just posted the add that day and when I showed up later that day he was saying how he had been getting calls all day. I got lucky!

Well I got to use the new tiller this past weekend, what a beast. The old one was fine and all but an extra 12" really makes a huge difference the tractor even knows it is back there where with the old one it was like really that's all you got!

Congrats! I have an older 5' King Kutter as well which was perfect for my L3400, but not wide enough for the XR4046. I'd like to bump up to a 6' or 7' one of these days but it's hard to justify the expense for something that is only used for food plots once every couple of years.
