I have the cd of that very show. it was a Ricky Scaggs production, his effort to resurrect bluegrass as an art form in 2002.

Early to mid ninties, my ex and I used to go to the same shop for haircuts. One of the cutters was what I would term a "hip young dude". Even back then he would lament that rock music was at a standstill, that everything had been done.I've been saying this same thing for a few years now, rock is the same way. I believe the problem is that music has just run out, there is nothing left to sing about
I think that is why country music has taken the direction it has. Musicians that could not make it in rock switched and influenced country.
I have a local classic country station that I tune to first. Though overall, okay, same as most staions on the standard airwaves, the music is canned. Same songs repeated over and over again. Then, some of the old country does not do much for me either.
Trouble is, I don't have time to fuss. I just want to flip on a station and get some work done.
