The Tractors were pretty much a one hit wonder. I can't even remember off hand the name of their big single.

UPDATE: I looked it up-- "Baby Likes to Rock It" was their only top 40 country hit, and it came out in 1994, peaking at number 11.


In my opinion, most country music made in the past ten years is either half naked women singing pop songs and pretty boys wearing cowboy hats, singing songs about whatever the catch phrase may be heard this week.

Some of the classic artists would never make it today if they were just starting out, because they were just too darn ugly!

John Deere Tractor was the first single released by the Judds in 1984. It wasn't on an album, only release as a single. It was, however, re-release on one of their albums in 1991, hitting number 29.

I rember one from many years ago but can't think of the name or singer.

I think the tractors made a CD that was sold in places like the TSC. Songs like "John Deere Hall of Fame" "Thats My Johnnie Deere" " I'll be home for the Tactor Pull" lol. I'd bet we could think of a lot that mention truck, Interestingly enough its almost always either just truck or Ford truck. Dave

There was a country video of a woman driving a Peterbuilt, pulling away from a guy that apparently just smoked the motor in his Kenworth? "Peter built a truck for a man to drive" or something..

It's not a traditional "country song" but the new song from Aaron Lewis "Country Boy" has a line in it...something to the effect of "I've got a big orange tractor and a diesel truck..." Good song, I recommend giving it a listen. :thumbsup:
