This is an interesting statement. The reference to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness" comes from our Declaration of Independence, and not the Constitution, and as such has no standing in law. From a legal standpoint the Declaration of Independence is merely an embarrassing historical document

We are going to circuit court Sept 23, 2014, in Suffolk Va. to get this resolved finally. The Rutherford Institute (thank God) is representing us in this, and we pray that American Liberty will prevail in the courtroom that day. Our freedoms are already almost gone, people. Do your part to fight back against this kind of tyranny!

Btw, all the people moving here will bring their "well in California we....or up north we.... " And things start changing here. The very reason people are attracted to an area is forgotten until they wake up and realize

What if your clean, well kept property looses half its value because the neighbors is turning into a salvage yard? Yes, there are people out there that NEVER throw anything away, but, COLLECT EVERYTHING! Those people cost the neighbors land value and the townships tax revenue.

What if a wind comes and blows your garage down? Tough luck. One should do as he pleases on his on property as long as it is not making illegal drugs or something. If you want citified regulations then you should consider moving back to the city. I live a few miles outside the small town where I grew up. A few hundred families moved here from the city in the last 10 years to get away from the city. Then they proceed to belly ache at the city council meetings wanting all these zoning rules. They now want the small town to be like the big city. Why did they move here? Go back to where you came from and leave us be.

The thing is , it's not your property and never will be. Try not paying taxes and see who really owns it. You probably can't even sell it without paying some one. The real owner has the right to dictate terms. Not so free are we?

I emailed them with my story, and they liked my angle, and they contacted me to offer to represent me. Just that simple. Of course, they cannot take every case, but if it is a personal liberty violation, they prefer such things. Just this week, TRI won a case in Florida of a business owner denied the right to fly his "dont tread on me flag" in front of his business!! TRI really fights hard, and SMART! Look up their website, to see how good and deserving they are of support.

We must realize, our ancestors in 1775 fought a freakin' war for much LESS tyranny than we swallow easily TODAY! Do you hear me? We suck, as a "free" people. We won't even get off the couch to go to a meeting, or rally, or protest. I've been fighting this without much support of people to even show up, though they will TELL me they support me. Showing up is half the battle!

The situation is obviously frustrating, and your point about getting people to physically do something (anything?) today is well understood at my end.

There is a flipside to this inertia though. (Long thread, can't say I've read/remembered every page, so skip if this is a repeat.....). A lot of politicians (or, at least their advisors/handlers) pay attention to what is going on in the FaceTwit universe - it's not my thing, but I understand the significance. If you don't have an up to date FaceTwit presence, that may be a useful tool.

Your thread here has over 22,000 Views, that alone is telling. I understand how little fiefdoms (counties) operate, but I wonder if at the State level there is an appreciation of how much global exposure your lack of personal property rights are getting, just from this thread ?
