Riots? What riots? Some politicians say there are no riots.......only peaceful demonstrations?
"PLEASE" try NOT to make this a POLITICAL conversation.Riots? What riots? Some politicians say there are no riots.......only peaceful demonstrations?
IMHO prices will stay steady or go up.Interest rates are crazy low another reason I believe prices will stay steady.Sales are up here also... we've seen people moving up since last winter to escape the Covid. At first it was people who already had summer homes on the lakes, now real estate is selling like hot cakes.
I have a little 2 acre house lot which I bought 6 months ago for an investment... hopefully the prices won't drop before it's ready to sell next year.
Went to Zillow & looked at a few houses on Lake Superior(munising) & Lake Huron(Tawas) that seemed reasonable priced. Was thing of selling my little slice of heaven. Get 40-80 acres, and build a very large pole barn. Have it assessed as a pole barn and then finish part of it into a house. But I will be 70 in a few weeks so hardly worth the aggravation. Prices in some areas here are up 25% and places sell fast.
I need them to stay in the cities. I left the city 25 years ago, but not for any of those reasons. I've adapted mostly to rural, but a lot of escapees won't. They'll want to bring the city with them, and all of the issues. They'll want city services and no cows or goats to make funny smells.
Those type of things will not happen around my neck of the woods . . . you can only divide your property into no less than 5 acres . . .
My son has the same problem with his condo in the Windy City. There are two sides to every coin. I've got a condo in downtown Chicago I'm trying to get rid of and, for some reason, there's not much interest. :confused3:
