Now I understand the phone responses.......I was wasting my time on this site researching tractors.

How do you get tractor Information and prices for new tractors?
Come see us is the best way!

Your best bet it to drive as many models as you can possible put your rear end on. Don't get
yourself all turned around with all the internet research and BS,,,

People who over educate themselves on the Internet rarely end up making a good selection.

You are your best judge of what you need.

BUT, the more tractors you try out, the more you'll start seeing the differences that otherwise
often go unseen on the Internet, or unnoticed by someone who is other wise excited and
completely new to tractors. It's like a strange euphoria that people get when they start looking,
sort of like the old saying "Love is Blind" well, so are 'net' bound shoppers because of what
they read or see in pictures they put on blinders to things they "think" they aren't interested in
and look no further then what they read or see on the net.

Once you get past it, you'll find yourself being a much better judge of what works and what
doesn't. As well as what is a good investment and what isn't. There's a lot of cheap tractors on
the market. Cheap for a reason. And like opinions,,, they're also not always good.

We could waste hours on the phone chit chatting about what is in stock, and my favorite
complete waste of time, 'prices' but the fact is, until you actually see and drive them all the chit
chat is completely irrelevant. You'll find like the other 70 people a day that also want to call
and just talk about tractors, you need to really get hands on to know what is realistic and going
to meet or exceed your expectations.

I cannot stress enough, there is no substitute or amount of phone conversation or
web shopping that will give you information that physically touching and seeing
tractors will give you. It would be like trying to test drive a car, over the phone.

TractorLegend,

I live in Snohomish, WA and ended up purchasing my CK25HST from Jennings Equipment in Puyallup. They're a big Kubota dealer and started carrying the Kioti line around the beginning of this year and have had nothing but good things to say about the line. I just got a toothbar from them a week ago and they just got in a whole load of the CK's along with some DK's. Heres their Website.

http://www.jenningsequipment.com

The one good thing I can say about Cowlitz Tractor is that I was set on going down and buying a NH TC30 Gear and was doing Internet seaches on tractor dealers in WA and kept getting the Cowlitz tractor site and that was the first time I had heard of Kioti. One look at the specs between the TC30 and Even the TC29 and the Kioti CK's and I was sold. I originally was going to get a gear but in the Kioti CK line an extra $1000 dollars will get you an HST. I did almost go to Cowlitz because they did put SMC loaders on the Kioti's and I had read about Highbeams cracking of his loader. If I did it again I would have gotten another brand of loader due to the cracking problem on the Kioti loaders. I really work that loader w/toothbar on the blackberry's and brush clearing on my property and expect it to crack eventually. You can bet I will be sure it cracks before the year is up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can also vouch for Jenning's equipment. Very nice folks that won't hound you or play games. I buy filters and such things from them since they are conveniently located near Interstate 5. In fact, I need filters from them real soon now that I hit 200 hours.

I have seen some Kiotis at Jennigns with the south bend loaders. Is that was SMC is?

Highbeam,

I'm not sure on the South Bend loaders. When I originally was looking at the NH tractors they had some with SMC labeled loaders that were a little less money then the NH loaders. I was told by the salesman that SMC makes the loaders for NH but they can get them cheaper from SMC directly. I did a quick search and this looks like SMC site which must be part of Alamo. On the "oem" section they show a NH labeled loader.

I was wrong. After looking at the SMC site and not seeing the Kioti CK's listed I went back and looked at the Cowlitz Tractor site and they have the Servis loaders which look to be the same as a Rhino.

I again realized I am glad to have NOT bought my Kioti there.
Whatever prejudices and/ or observations your extensive "sales knowledge" lends your business- all I can suggest is turning over your sales operations to those whom are "up" with the computer age coupled w/ old fashioned values.
I got chumped- plain and simple and knew exactly what tractor I was going to buy...the "tire kicking" was over.

I was OK with this thread being dead and gone...LOL /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

After years in the sales business, I'm just getting used to buying (or at least shopping) on the Internet or by telephone. I live in Dallas and recently shopped for my wife a new car. Bought a car from the Internet guy in a local dealership. Made the deal over the phone after him leading me through the list of accessories (selling me off a couple of items, if you can imagine that!) and drove up and bought that afternoon. No change in terms or price. After reading you comments, I think that the dealers (auto or tractor) should give a price range for their product if they think they're being shopped and then it's up to the buyer to go in if the seller is in range. When I bought my Kioti 3054 I reversed the process; I went in to the dealership and polished up the final terms over the phone.

The REASON Cowlitz Tractor screened customers shopping for prices is something like this: When we signed an agreement to sell Kioti and Branson tractors we took on a LEGALLY BINDING agreement to provide new tractor sales to people with in our own AOR. AOR is; Area of Responsibility. I was not going to cut some other dealer off at the feet in a price shopping war. There is absolutely no honor is hurting other dealers by cutting prices. For what? To make a few bucks? Not my style. Those people have families too. So people from out of my AOR always were priced at the MSRP, which is actually required in our contract. We cannot offer discounts with out risking losing the dealership, and your lousy couple hundred bucks that we make after taxes and BS,, just isn't worth it.

Sorry Mr. Tractor Legend You don't know what you are talking about when it comes to dealships. When a dealership is doing it right, this is the result, not everyone will think you are a hero, but the fact is, I didn't screw anyone over just to make a couple bucks. But what you posted here is libelous and slander...

As is what Mr Leonard (Jinma 354) posted,, but the feds are having their way with him now. And I didn't have to say a word, amazing how Karma works.

Yes, I know. But as a matter of principle, it needed to be addressed, later is better than never sometimes.
Especially in situations where no matter the year, the buying process continues. And out there in the world there are still some dealers that do still follow the rules and beleive in taking the high ground. Even when it is the road less travelled. Isn't it better for people to realize that dealers are also human beings, and that some of us won't play the game of cutting other peoples throats for a few bucks. If they will do it to their peers, they will quickly do it to a stranger/customer too... I would rather look like a fool posting late then just some A-hole that wouldn't wheel and deal with a guy from 80 miles away. My posting this late will hopefully prevent some other good person from being trashed, for doing the right thing.
