Crack Pipe Lighters

What I'm using now:

Tech Torch Auto Start Butane Torch Kit | Princess Auto

Used a no-name version of same for several years, until the regulating (adjustable) valve started leaking. Always used Ronson butane refills, and never had an issue with ignition.

It is convenient for tasks already listed, and I like how compact it is, for working in tight spots.

Doesn't look to pocket friendly :confused3:

Went to the gas station after church and got some genuine crack pipe lighter gas.
Filled them up, working like a charm now.

Apparently butane is formulated differently for each manufacturers devices.

When I was younger all this drug stuff they sell was called drug paraphernalia and was illegal.

I'm still curious what the difference is between that and a regular Bic, but not enough to go into the local head shop to see if they carry them.

They are more like the old "blow torches". . .more pressure given to the flame.

I see. I had something similar from Cabelas, it ran off a butane lighter but concentrated the flame for more heat. I thought that it would be a good emergency firestarter, but after only a couple of months it clogged with the detrimus from carrying it in my pocket.

Heres the flame difference. Much more concentrated and hotter.

Great little torch. I bought mine at Walmart last winter for starting fires. It works flawlessly.
I use it quite a bit when melting cheese on a sandwich, or like today, leftover pizza with mushrooms, olives and sausage. It gives a nice char on veggies. If you are into wood burning, there is a guy on the tube who did a review, and he likes it. He is quite the artist with torches. Funny story on Zippo. I found a Zippo on the edge of the road near my house; it had been run over several times and was pretty banged up. I took it home and forgot about it. Some months later, I received a package in the mail, containing a new Zippo. Turns out, my young daughter sent the old one to Zippo asking if they could "fix her Daddy's lighter". They sent me a new one instead!

I remember that Zippo had a lifetime guarantee.
I once sent mine in and they repaired the hinge and installed all new guts.

I guessed that they liked the idea of my having a well worn looking lighter that worked just like new.

Better tool technology, due to recreational drug use.

Yep..... this is 2018....

Seems a little better made than the no-name one I had.... one thing I like about the base is there is a flat bevel on the "back" - you can lie it down and have the flame going straight up - nice for bench work at times.

I've never found a lighter... but have found lots of home made glass crackpipes!!!

Many people today couldn't frame a garden shed from scratch.

Yet.... they can manufacture drug pipes out of glass.

Yep, this is 2018....

I can't do either very well. ;)

I thought that all you needed to make a crack pipe was some wadded up tin foil.
