Craftsman Ride On Lawn Tractor Wont Start

THis diagram shows "L" getting a ground feedback through reverse switch.... When switch closed...

Think first thing I would check is "Reverse Switch".... May be shorted or jammed...

Thats the correct schematic and yes it is feeding a ground to position L. But with the new switch it is putting 12v pos. out of posistion L. creating a short causing the fuse to blow.
Tractorguy24 in this case close aint good enough. Yore gonna have to get the correct switch.

Looks like I will have to. I’ll see if I can find one. I always got my craftsman parts at sears but they closed all their stores, I’ll try my local parts stores

I did remove the cable for the lights and the fuse didn’t blow but the tractor didn’t start either.

Hopefully the incorrect switch didn't sent 12v to the ignition modules on the engine and cook them also. Also that mower would of most likely been made by MTD or Husqvarna depending on the first three digits of the craftsman model number So find out who made and and go see the local people for parts.

I think AYP/Electrolux built them for Craftsman and Husqvarna.
