does it feel like it has plenty of power? sounds like a diesel with low compression to me.

smokes and difficulty fireing, but once warmed fires up ok... that's a pretty good sign of low compression.. though not 100% limited to that.

I usually preheat the glow plugs, then start at full throttle. As soon as it starts I move the hand throttle. Winter starts sometimes require a back and forth throttle action, until it will run smooth.

um.. look at the intake manifold.. and follow the tube.. it will eventually end in a canister with a breather element !

pulled the glow plugs the other day,tested them with leads to the battery,two are dead,the other,only smoked a little did not glow,so ordered three new plugs $50.00 each,should get them today,and my issue should be solved thanks guys & gals
