I was on the dozer at 7am this morning, and by 7:30 I had a busted hydraulic hose. While I was at Aaxion getting a new one, my Dad and Mom blead the brakes on the dump truck. Left rear was full of air, the rest were fine.

Dad was hauling dirt when I got back. I replaced the hose and by 9am was back to work. I pushed dirt up from below while my dad dumped it from the top.

This is the finished dirt work from above. still need to cut off that own stump. I fought it every time I pushed a load up, and it poped out every time I went back down the hill.

They buyer specifically requested a ridge be left on the top to stop any rain water from washing down from above. He seems very concerned about erosion, which is a good thing for me.

This is the view people will see as they enter my place. Soon I will get some plants in and eventually this will be an asset, not the eyesore it is today.

It looks like you ran the dozer up and down and then one time across the bottom. I would have done it exactly the same way because of my fear of flipping over. Maybe that fear is inexperience showing or maybe not. It looks real good.

I've never "used" one myself, but I used to drive and service one for one of our customers when I was a teenaqer. It was a 1951 GMC and the odd thing about it for those days was the fact that it had a hydromatic transmission.

Now that the dirt is in place, I had some help with the planting. My Mom, Girlfriend and her 4 year old son.

The plants are Asian Jasmin and Holly shrubs. Both will naturalize in a short while. I'm also going to add some native trees that I dig up. I'm not sure if they will grow or not, but since they are free, I'll take the chance.

Water is from three garden hoses that are 100 feet long, then three cheap plastic sprinklers connected by short hoses.

With three hundred feet of hose to the first sprinkler, and two fifty foot hoses connecting the other two spinklers, I had my doughts as to how much preasure I'd have. I got lucky and have plenty of preasure.

Now my biggest fear is to leave them on all night long.

My solution was to write a note and tape it to my bedroom lightswitch.

Eddie rember when hauling anthing make sure the Tail gate is tripped when dumping lol or a serious pucker or beyond pucker factor will be the result. When I was 16 My brother had me driving opne of his single axle rigs through a tow to haul sand. I tripped the latch be what I didnt know was the gate had jammed and the tailgate latch had sheared the safety pin. When I raised the bad the load hit the gate and and It felt funny. I thought I was emptying bu when I put it in gear and let off the clutch there I stood truck reared up and sat on it arse. I finallay got enough weight off the back with the backhoe so that I could pull the truck down with my bodywieght and let it sit till I could trip the latch with a bar. The big problem with this is most dumps have power up gravity down and that cancels out in that situation lol. I have put the truck into reverse to make them sit back down. BNut saw a fellow in a county truck do the same thing but he let the hoist control down with te bed up it drained most of the fluid out of the cylinder back to the tank but when he reversed the cylinder just had air in it. Whe weight of the loaded bed coming down bent the heck out of the frame behind the cab. By the Way Eddie thats a good lookin truck. When ya get tired of it I may be able to buy it lol. Still trying to sell my 95 F700 Bottle wagon though.
